Get on your fancy clothes and softball gloves this weekend at Nipissing & Canadore! (but not at the same time..)
From Campaign Coordinator's Nicole Brady and Colby Clarke:
This weekend we have two amazing events taking place that everyone can enjoy. We have a Gala taking place on
Friday, July 20, and a Softball Tournament taking place on
Saturday and Sunday (July 21-22).
Read on for all the details!
Bring the Shine Back Gala
Our "Bring the Shine Back" Gala will feature dinner, dancing, and a night on the town - Nipissing
University Student Union and Canadore Student’s Representative Council would
like to invite you to what is sure to be the event of the summer!
The Wall’s own executive
chef, Stephen Bitonti, will be preparing a decadent surf and turf meal featuring
a lobster bisque, seven leaf spring mix salad, and a 12oz rib eye steak in a
four peppercorn au jus, served with bacon wrapped asparagus, roasted red pepper
and cheddar mashed potato, and succulent grill-kissed marinated shrimp. This
meal will be finished off with The Wall’s own crème brulée cheesecake.
Paired up with this amazing meal will be live entertainment,
guest speakers, and a silent auction.
Tickets are $50 per person. The best part of this great evening out, is that all
proceeds will go to the annual Shinerama Campaign, which raises money for
Cystic Fibrosis Canada!
THE 2012 SHINERAMA SOFTBALL CLASSIC
Nipissing University’s Student Union (NUSU) and Canadore College’s Student Representative Council (CSRC) are hosting the first annual
Shinerama Softball Classic to raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis
research and care. Come out to the Steve Omischl Sports Field Complex on July
21st and 22nd for a weekend of barbeques, cold drinks,
and of course softball as we join together in the fight against cystic fibrosis!
